'I have met an American ambassador to your home; was that deceptive? ' Aleem asks PM Imran

Unhappy PTI member of the Punjab Assembly Aleem Khan on Monday asked Prime Minister Imran Khan whether it was foolish to "meet the American ambassador" at the prime minister's residence.

The dissatisfied PTI leader spoke about the incident after Prime Minister Imran Khan revealed that the US official who sent the "threat letter" was the Assistant Secretary of State for South Central Asia Donald Lu.

Aleem, a former prime minister of the province, lashed out at the former government and PTI leader for calling him a “traitor” and saying it was unfortunate that they were misusing his name.

“I have become a traitor, tell Cheema and Salik that they are also traitors, they have taken the money. I had a very difficult time from 2010 to 2018 (when the PML-N was in power), ”he said.

Continuing, the former prime minister criticized the prime minister and asked him why he did not like anyone among the 183 MPAs in Punjab. "He has appointed a man [as prime minister] who used to call him the biggest dacoit in Punjab," he said while addressing CM hope Chauhdry Pervaiz Elahi.

Criticizing the prime minister, Aleem said he had charges against the unscrupulous PTI leader Jahangir Tareen. "Aren't you ashamed? He sent your relatives to prison. We informed you of all the Buzdar corruption practices.

The former minister said Farah Bibi - who is close to Prime Minister Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi - was on his way to Dubai and was involved in a "massive bribe" campaign.

Farah was involved in the transfer and deportation of officials to Punjab, but now she and her husband have "fled" to Dubai, however, once the authorities are arrested, everything will be clear, including where Farah transferred the money, Aleem said.

"I have nothing more to say about the family of Imran Khan," he said.

Political unrest is high in the country as the national assembly is dissolved, with sources saying the same thing could happen with the Punjab council.

Usman Buzdar has also resigned as prime minister of the province, and there is expected to be a bitter rivalry between Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Hamza and Elahi as dissatisfied PTI factions of Jahangir Tareen and Aleem decide to support the PML-Q leader in office.

'It is sad'

The former prime minister and PTI leader Shahbaz Gill, responding to Aleem's press conference, said he was "deeply saddened" after seeing complaints from the former prime minister.

"I will respond to Aleem on behalf of the prime minister: He joined the PTI for no apparent reason. Aleem Khan should have shown that reservation when he was part of the PTI."

"Aleem Khan's business collided several times with the PTI document," he said.
