President Arif Alvi advised by PM Imran Khan to dissolve Assemblies
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday advised President Arif Alvi to dissolve all meetings and called on the people to prepare for the elections.
The prime minister announced after Deputy Speaker of Parliament Qasim Suri rejected a no-confidence motion citing Article 5 of the Constitution.
Congratulating the nation on the rejection of his no-confidence motion, Prime Minister Imran called on the people to begin preparations for the country's new national elections.
He also commended Deputy Speaker of Parliament Qasim Khan Suri for rejecting the no-confidence motion "foreign conspiracy" to exercise his constitutional authority.
"I want to congratulate the whole country as the Deputy Speaker of the NA has rejected the move to overthrow Pakistan in an international plot," he said. The premier said there were international plans following the decision.
"People have been worried since yesterday and" traitors "are plotting in front of the whole nation," said PM Imran, adding: "I want to say don't worry."
"The nation will not allow such plots to succeed," he added. The prime minister said he had advised the president to dissolve the meetings and that Democrats should go to the public to hold elections and let the people decide.
Speaking on the horse trade, the prime minister said corrupt people would not be allowed to decide the fate of the nation.
He insists that the money spent on horse-trading will go down badly. He urged turncoat lawyers to use the money for social welfare or to distribute it to the poor.
The PM called on the nation to prepare for the elections, adding that it should determine the future of the country.

"There are no foreign powers or corrupt structures, but only you have to decide this country," he said.
Prime Minister Imran said that as soon as the president receives his proposal, the meetings will be dissolved and the process of a permanent government will begin.
